Tartar build up on your pet’s teeth can cause damage to the teeth and gums. If left untreated, this can lead to an infection called periodontal disease. This condition can lead to loss of teeth and pain. It also can affect other organs such as the kidneys and heart.

Here at Lockridge Animal Hospital, we examine the mouth during every examination and will guide you in the best dental program for your pet. We will discuss home care options such as brushing, safe, effective dental chews and specific dental diets.

Lockridge Animal Hospital is equipped with a two table dental suite. We provide basic dental prophylaxis (cleaning / polishing), computerized digital dental radiology and extraction of diseased teeth when necessary. Referral to veterinary dental specialists can be provided for more advanced care such as crowns or endodontic procedures.
